SINGAPORE - Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott officially opened the new James Cook University Singapore campus on Sunday morning.
The campus, which sits on 24,000sqm of land along Sims Drive, boasts state-of-the-art facilities such as a financial trading room and classrooms equipped with smart Apple TVs.
It is located on the former premises of Manjusri Secondary School, and is nearly three times larger than the old campus along Upper Thomson Road.
The new campus can house up to 5,000 students. It is a branch of James Cook University, which is based in Queensland, Australia.
